The owner and operator of this website is Creber Instruments, also referred to as ‘Us’, ‘We’ and ‘Our,’ throughout. 

These terms and conditions relate to the use of this website and should be read carefully by all customers, also referred to as ‘purchaser’, ‘customer’, ‘You’ or ‘Your’ throughout. 

By using the Creber Instruments website, you agree not to violate or attempt to violate the security of the website. Each use of the Creber Instruments website will indicate acceptance of the current terms and conditions and that you are at least 18 years old, or you are at least the minimum legal age to enter into a contract in the jurisdiction in which you are using the Creber Instruments website. In addition, when you use any current or future versions of the Creber Instruments website, you also will be subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement. Creber Instruments does not sell products to children. We sell only to adults, ages 18 years and older, who can purchase products through PayPal. By ordering from our site you are consenting to having relevant checks carried out by us and/or third parties in the interest of preventing fraudulent use of credit and debit cards. We treat any information provided by our customers securely and in accordance with the 1998 Data Protection Act.

Our prices are in Pounds Sterling and include VAT at the current rate. We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate transactions, remove or edit content, or cancel orders in its sole discretion, including, without limitation, if Creber Instruments believes that user conduct violates applicable law or is harmful to the interests of Creber Instruments or its affiliates.

All intellectual property on this site including but not limited to images and text are the property of Creber Instruments.  Creber Instruments does not accept responsibility for any ‘Creber’ content from external links including their existence, prices, inaccuracies, specifications or quality. Users are advised they visit external links at their own judgment. 

While best efforts have been made to ensure that the information on the Creber Instruments site is correct, we do not warrant its completeness or accuracy. Creber Instruments hold the right to alter at any time without notice, any texts, images, details, products, layout, design, style, pricings currently on the site. Occasionally errors may occur and in these circumstances we will rectify the error as soon as possible. The images and text may be downloaded and/or printed for personal use. The images and text must not be used or reproduced for general consumption without written permission. No part of this website is to be reproduced or stored in any other website, or included in any other public or private retrieval system or service without our prior permission in writing. 

These terms and conditions are to be construed according to English Law and any disputes arising in connection with these terms and conditions are subject exclusively to the jurisdiction of the English Courts. If you access this website from locations outside of the United Kingdom, you do so at your own risk and you are responsible for compliance with local laws. Should any court of competent jurisdiction find any of the provisions within these terms and conditions to be invalid, this will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.


Both the one year Warranty and 30 day Guarantee do not apply to instances where product has:

-Natural/expected/fair wear and tear of the instrument or its parts

-Any alteration or modification made to the product in any way

-Been misused or improper maintenance of the instrument

-Not been used and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions

-Asserted defects involving subjective personal likes or judgments

-Damage caused by accident of exposure to extremes of temperature or humidity

-Been subject to adverse environmental conditions

-Accidental damage caused by yourself or others

Signs of wear are only covered, if they occurred despite appropriate care or because of demonstrably bad workmanship.

In other words: any expensive instrument can look bad or gradually deteriorate if you don't clean and regular maintain it. Creber Instruments cannot be held responsible for inappropriate care. In no event shall Creber Instruments be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to time, wages or lost profits, of any nature or kind or for damages to or loss of property. Cases where an item is replaced or repaired the warranty will not be prolonged.

Perishable items such as strings are non-refundable. 


Should you wish to cancel or return your order within 30 days of the purchase, you can return it to us for a full refund (excluding any shipping charges) no questions asked. Additionally, all Creber branded products are automatically covered by a 12 month warranty (unless stated otherwise), only when bought directly from CreberInstruments.co.uk, valid from the date of purchase. This warranty covers any possible manufacturing or structural defect or failure of any component within the first year.

If this is your situation, please notify us via e-mail at service@creberinstruments.com before returning the item. The goods must be returned to us within a reasonable time period. Reasonable care should be taken when doing so. The goods must be packaged in their original packaging as you received them. They must be returned in a condition that allows us to resell the item as ‘new’. The product itself must not have been used to any degree greater than that required for you to reasonably assess them.

Once received, Creber Instruments will examine the returned product and issue refunds as appropriate. If we have incurred costs in as a result of collecting the item from you we are entitled to deduct the costs from the amount refunded. In the event it is determined that the defect is not covered by or excluded from this one year warranty, the instrument will be returned without repairs or replacement, shipping to be paid by the purchaser. Please note that all return shipping charges must be paid for by the purchaser.

In some circumstances, it can be more cost effective to take your product to a local repair shop, as the high cost of shipping fees can soon add up.


We reserve the right to refuse acceptance of an order in the following instances:

-We are unable to obtain authorization for the payment or suspect fraudulent activity
-Goods are no longer available
-Errors with product pricing or description
-Any other instances that are outlined within our terms and conditions

Please note that the automated ‘acknowledgement email’ does not represent an order confirmation or acceptance of order. The order is deemed to be accepted and the contract made upon dispatch from us, irrespective of instances where payment may have been processed immediately. If we are unable to accept an order that has been placed online and prepaid we will notify you of the cancellation and refund the payment in full within 72 hours of receiving it. We do not accept responsibility for any delay caused by third parties.


Different Lap steel tunings may require different string gauges. Creber Instruments cannot be held responsible for any string breakage and it is the responsibility of the user to choose appropriate string gauges for the relevant tunings. Be sure to use a suitable string gauge for the tuning you require. The 'Original Design' Series of Lap steels require standard guitar length strings (650mm/25.5”) - gauge dependent on your chosen tuning.

Please also note that Creber instruments cannot be held accountable for any delay in the delivery of your package. 

In the interest of always bettering our products and service Creber Instruments reserves the right to alter any features or written material without notice.


All personal information you submit to our site such as name, address, email, and card details is 100% secure. PayPal encrypts your sensitive financial information so the only person who can see it is you. It's securely protected by data encryption technology, reducing the risk of online fraud and identity theft. Personal information is only processed through PayPal and is never stored by Creber Instruments. We will use the shipping address you supply to ship your products to you. We will use your billing address, if different than your shipping address, to verify your billing information.  Your details are confidential and will never be given to another party.
